Safeeyat was diagnosed with hearing loss last year, this disrupted her schooling and daily activities.
The good news was that she could get some level of hearing with a hearing aid which will cost 10,000 cedis, but there were no funds as the family couldn’t raise the said amount.
They tried with social media and other sources for months and raised 2,000. All the way from the OTI region, her issue came to our notice and she received 8,000 cedis in support.
Today, Safeeyat has a pair of hearing aids and can hear and communicate with everyone.
She can also go to school like every other child.
