On May 28th, Hereafter Ghana-MHP collaborated with Northern Girls Initiative (NGI) and Community Action for Inclusive Development (CAID) to observe International Menstrual Hygiene Day at St. Joseph Junior High School.
This year’s theme for International Menstrual Hygiene Day was “Together for a Period-Friendly World.” Which was equally theme of our visit.
During the event, students received education on menstrual health and proper hygiene practices during their periods. We also encouraged open conversations with all concerned stakeholders about challenges related to menstruation.
50 reusable pads were donated to empower the young girls and boost their confidence.
